Chuck Bennett installed as 2004-05 President of the California Land Title Association (CLTA)

Chuck Bennett, CEO of California Land Title of Marin was installed as President of the California Land Title Association (CLTA) Monday at the Association's 97th Annual Convention in Carmel, CA.
The California Land Title Association (CLTA) is a non-profit corporation, founded in 1907, representing member title companies throughout the State of California. The Association's membership is comprised of title insurance companies and underwritten title companies conducting business in the state.
Shortly after his installation, Bennett met with Insurance Commissioner John Garamendi. Talks included industry consolidation, legislation on rebates and consumer protection.
Bennett also met with Jim Hamilton, President-Elect of The California Association of Realtors, to discuss the affordable housing crisis in California and industry issues.
³We are looking forward to an active year, dealing with issues that directly affect consumers in California. Our industry, like many others, is rapidly changing. We will work with our partners in the industry to harness the changes for the benefit of our clients², said Bennett.
